Magic Eye

So I was thinking I want to practice Going Magic Eye more often.

I've always been fascinated by the Magic Eye pictures. Are you familiar with them? Each is a type of stereogram. A stereogram is an illustration designed to create the visual illusion of a three-dimensional (3D) scene from a two-dimensional image. Magic Eye is a brand of numerous stereograms. When I was young I remember seeing different Magic

Eye posters and having varying success with them.

There's a trick to uncovering the 3D prize inside;

The viewer must diverge their eyes in order to see a hidden three-dimensional image within the pattern. You need to relax your eyes, let them slightly un-focus (nearly go cross-eyed), and wait a few seconds for your perspective to shift. It may take some practice. Your first couple tries may only reward you with a frontal lobe headache (similar to the brain freeze you get from gulping a frozen slushy) and some frustration. But relax your eyes, try again, and pretty soon - tada! - the new picture will move to the foreground and you'll be hard pressed to un-see it.

The whole process reminds me of....life.

I've been trying to "Go Magic Eye" in a variety of circumstances because I noticed the same practice for discovering hidden images and messages in illustrations works in discovering obscured priorities and purpose in everyday events. We are all bombarded 24 hours a day with information shared with any variety of intents: education, inspiration, motivation, promotion, fear, entertainment, and it can be overwhelming, confusing, and a waste of time.

We are surrounded by people making noise for no reason.

I recommend you try the Go Magic Eye practice whenever necessary: Relax, take a few breaths, let your focus go general with as little emotion attached as possible, and wait for anything worthwhile of your attention to shift into focus. At first all you'll probably notice is a bunch of the same thoughts playing on a looped recording or video - noise. Most likely they will be from the Woulda, Coulda, and Shoulda files. Those are the easiest files for your consciousness to access because they are always open! Don't try to reconcile them now. Instead, picture them in a balloon or a cloud and let them float on by with barely a notice (as many times as you need to - which can be a lot - trust me!).

If you have a higher consciousness you connect with this is the perfect time to ask for assistance in clearing your mind and refocusing your perspective.

This simple process has worked well for me lately - when I remember to use it! I think I'll buy a Magic Eye poster to remind me. I like the one below, it reveals the best message of all.

Let me know if you see the word

hidden in the above illustration.

And if you try a Magic Eye meditation,

what new perspective came into focus?
